Jan Groover creates interesting and creative images. She did this by using domestic objects, mostly kitchen utensils, and messily placing them in her sink to then take a photograph. She wanted us to consider spacing and how things relate to each other. Jan Groover is considering that not every thing has a meaning behind it and you don't always have to look into detail about everything, sometimes it can be right in front of you but you're missing it. In a way i think she also wanted people to look into it, this way it could intrigue them as they are always trying to find something to look at. This is shown by the way she places her domestic objects in her images. Sometimes they're all at different angles and there's different lighting and so much detail that no one really knows where to look. Jan Groover was interested in this issue because she felt that people needed to take a step back and look at the whole picture. Jan Groover has used good lighting and good use of space in creating this work. This creates a calming yet confusing effect. This helps to support Jan Groovers point about spacing and how it can be intriguing to the eye.

Stuart Haygarth creates colourful and surreal images. He did this in his collections of images called Categories by collecting every Man-made item that he came across during his walk along the southern coast of england and carorised/arranged them into order of composition and colour to photograph them. He wanted us to consider that aside from their aesthetic appeal, his pictures also tell the strong story of our reckless pollution on Earth. Stuart Haygarth is considering that pollution is a big issue in society today and you don't realise until you see and that it's something that needs to stop. You need to reduce litter and become more sustainable as littering it is affecting the environment massively. This is shown by the amount of manmade objects he uses in his photos all from only one small part of the world. Stuart Haygarth was interested in this issue because it's very relevant to the world, especially now. Stuart
